What is Inspire Life?
Inspire Life has served as a hub for creativity, learning, empowerment, and character building for youth and families in and around the Asbury Park community.
Our mission is to empower youth and families to purpose, professions, and positive choices.
Our Story
Inspire Life, co-founded in 2016 by Dr. Semaj and Carla Vanzant, embarked on a mission to enrich the lives of youth in Asbury Park and Neptune through the fusion of fine art and technology during the summer months. Originally aiming to serve 20 families in its inaugural year, the overwhelming demand led them to extend their reach and support twice as many families. Witnessing the tremendous impact they made, the camp's popularity grew exponentially, attracting a diverse group of campers, dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, and an ever-expanding array of courses.
As time went on, Inspire Life remained deeply committed to the communities of the Central Jersey Shore region. Identifying other pressing needs, they diversified their offerings to include additional break camps for fall and winter, empowering programs geared towards women, initiatives centered around social justice, community strengthening endeavors, and a resolute dedication to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) principles.
Through their unwavering dedication, Inspire Life has blossomed into a transformative force, touching the lives of countless individuals and leaving an indelible mark on the communities they serve. Driven by their vision and passion, the journey of Inspire Life continues to illuminate the path of growth and empowerment for all who become a part of its extraordinary legacy.
